HOW IT WORKS?

We are able to make these savings by improving the efficiency of your pump, whilst still meeting the minimum flow rate requirements necessary for your pump to be working effectively. Pumps are unnecessarily “over worked” due to the one pump fits all attitude, pumps usually well exceed the required flow rate requirements. Flow rates on all pumps can differ due to many factors such as pressure, plumbing, fittings, filtering and distance.
Whilst the flow efficiency of the VFD can be varied, we have selected 3 pre determined  reduction rates which are proven to give the most effective results and at the same time maximizing the savings on your energy bill.

ONCE INSTALLED:

3 Power saving levels can be selected by using the control switch. These levels have been set to match the maximum pump flow rate to energy saving, after the pump has primed.
These rates have proven to be the most beneficial for filtering and pool cleaning. The highest saving level is suitable for most swimming pool equipment. Flow rates can also be adjusted simply for special purposes I.E; matching flow rates to heat exchange units and water features.
There is also the “by pass” position running the pump on normal power supply. This is only required if the pump is needed to run at maximum pressure i.e. Backwashing or rinsing a sand filter.
